Support Mentor

Practical Skills. Real Support. Proven Outcomes.

I deliver support mentoring that helps people build confidence, independence and meaningful skills at their own pace. With years of experience across private clients, disability organisations and community programs, I focus on genuine outcomes — not box-ticking.

Whether it’s daily living skills, creative development, community participation or personal growth, my approach is hands-on, person-centred and grounded in lived experience.

How I Help. Everyday Life Skills.

Support that builds confidence and capability in daily routines and personal independence.

  • Computing & word processing

  • Budgeting & spreadsheets

  • Smartphone skills & useful apps

  • Organisation, time-management & goal-setting

  • Email writing, forms, letters & applications

Education & Employment Pathways

Supporting clients to prepare for study, work or volunteering.

  • Resume writing

  • Job applications

  • Interview preparation

  • Confidence-building through structured tasks

Creative Participation & Expression

Creative activities that support emotional wellbeing, communication and identity.

  • Music tuition: guitar, percussion, piano, vocals

  • Photography

  • Digital video: filming, editing, sound recording

  • Writing, drawing & other arts

  • Social media basics & digital storytelling

These activities are especially effective for clients with social anxiety, low confidence or challenges with communication — helping them express themselves in safe, supported ways.

Social Confidence & Community Participation

Social skills don’t grow in a vacuum — they grow through experience.
I support clients to build healthy, appropriate social behaviour by guiding them through real-world activities that match their interests and personality. This might mean attending local events, exploring community spaces, trying new hobbies, or simply sharing an outing that sparks curiosity.

By engaging in social environments at their own pace, clients learn to:

  • Communicate respectfully and confidently

  • Understand social cues and boundaries

  • Interact with new people in safe, supported settings

  • Navigate public environments with more independence

  • Build genuine friendships and community connections

I design activities around what lights them up — whether that’s music, art, film, technology, sport, food markets or cultural festivals. Introducing clients to new ideas and experiences naturally broadens their confidence, creativity and sense of identity.

These supported outings aren’t just trips — they’re practical lessons in social participation, problem-solving, emotional regulation and personal growth. Over time, clients become more comfortable, more capable and more connected to the world around them.

My Approach

I tailor every session to the individual — their interests, cultural background, personality, pace and NDIS goals. The aim is sustainable progress:
steady skills, healthier routines, stronger confidence, and real community connection.

I draw on decades of creative and support-work experience to make learning engaging, practical and fun. Clients aren’t just supported — they’re mentored.
