Back in the day when I was so much younger
We walked so proud no one stole our thunder
We were the kings of our neighbourhood
We ruled the streets, doing no good
Back in the day I knocked around with the local hoods
Joy riding and skipping school
Breaking and enter lying to my mother
Getting home late or I wouldn’t even bother
Squatting around in abandoned places
Sleeping with girls and getting off our faces
Running away from police and hiding in the bushes
Hanging out at the late-night shopping centre
Picking fights and stealing bikes
Getting away with it most the time
