Here and Now

Where will I go when my time runs out?

Will I just disappear become forgotten about?

And will I amount to anything in the end?

Do we just start again as another someone?

Come back as a fish a pig or a dove?

Relive your life and try to get it right next time

I hear your led high above to a wonderful place

Where everyone’s in love and travels through time and space

Living in a crystal castle in the sky

Well, if it’s true I wish I could be there now

It would be so cool swirling through the air and clouds

Leaving my body behind not a worry about disease

Or ageing bones or living alone

Like here and now

Will I be reunited with my old friends

From all my past lives and all my old pets?

Will I discover what we’re doing here?

Would I meet their expectations? Did I accomplish my tasks?

Will they be disappointed for not doing enough?

Or will I be damned to walk the Earth as a friendly ghost?

I would materialise before your very eyes

And whisper sweet poems in your ear late at night

Then shower you with a tingling sensation of love

Well, if it’s true I wish I could be there now
