The first time we met I didn’t see her coming
At the end of the night, she gave me just a little loving
In no time we became an item
You and I we clicked just like a press-stud button
All my friends said we go so well good together
I took her out she had fun and we cooked each other dinner
As time went by, I felt there was no other
The first girl in years I introduced to my mother
But something unbeknownst to me was brewing in her mind
My Spidey senses tingling could our end be nigh?
As the year grew closer, she became a little colder
She kissed me like a chicken, and I rarely got to hold her
I was in denial that things weren’t going smoothly
I guess I was afraid there was a chance she’d up and leave me
Two weeks before our one-year anniversary
She called me up and said she had something to tell me
She said you’re the greatest guy that I have ever had
But my feelings have changed, and I can’t keep denying that
And as her words came floating out from her pretty lips
I pondered what I might have done to deserve all this
Now, we’re both going through some personal transformations
Everybody needs to make their own modifications
Maybe in the future we will reunited again
I can’t help but call her honey even though we are just friends
